Implementing a OneCard system affects so many systems and members of our campus community, so it's no surprise that the OneCard teams represent a wide cross-section of key stakeholders.

The project planning team includes:

    California State University Channel Islands is implementing a card system to enable access to a variety of key resources and services including:

    • door and building access at various locations
    • food service at Islands Cafe, University Glen and the new Student Union
    • printing at shared printers & photocopiers
    • vending machines
    • library patron services
    • point-of-sale (POS), both on- and off-campus
    • guest card purchase stations
    • card "charging" kiosks (for adding funds)
    Where are we now with this project?
    • Communication & Marketing is working with the OneCard project teams to design a new card. Estimated delivery for the new cards is May 2010.
    • Card access to student printing is scheduled to go live in May 2010.
    • Integration of card access for meal plan and POS for the Islands Cafe, new Student Union and University Glen is scheduled to go live in August 2010.
    • Integration of the new card with Library check out is scheduled for fall 2010.
